Star Crossed

Nothing is perfect

but you come close

In a free-spirit sparkle world

Oh Gem of great desire

Everything that touches you is sacred

Adoration is demanded

Center-stage….arrogance and fire

Beneath that sultry, shaking loudness

Is a subtle hint for calm

Isolated in a room of glitzy drunken gluttony

With a foot in two worlds

My unsure keeper of a fragile heart

Discontented in hot torment

Hold my feet to the fire

Did you miss your time to claim your place in the sun?

At the forefront of a glittering center

Strong but weary, lay down your arrogance

What’s yours is yours, no need for hot words

Bitter rage, power seeker

Admonish me publicly
