Twilight People

Look where the Twilight people go
stepping through darkened veils
to where, we don’t know
What do they seek
under the cover of blue?
Between dark and light,
mystery and bright
the realm of the few
In the shadows
they creep
while most are asleep
They bow icognito
on a corner there
from the silken shadows
they stare
Amid magic and mayhem
they find their way
staying just out of bounds
from the reach of day
This boundary was drawn
long ago in the past
Away from the bustle,
their dreams don’t last
It’s the Twilight that they own
and secrets unshared
In a world we can’t touch,
their destiny ensnared.
