I know the feeling all too well.
Insomnia is something so many people suffer from, the fortunate ones only now and then. Your acrostic describes so well the awful feelings and thoughts as the hours seem to tick away so slowly.
It’s certainly an awful feeling for sure…I frequently find myself in the predicament on Sunday nights because I go into my natural body clock routine for the weekend….boo ๐
I suffered with insomnia for years. Only since i’ve retired has it improved. Even now, I have odd nights when sleeping’s a no-no. Sunday night’s a pain for many people. Commiserations, L. T. ๐
Millie it looks like our work does affect our sleep, ha ha….yes I’ve read about those Sunday blahs before too…well here’s to a better night tonight,
So difficult to keep your mind still, especially when you are working on something. The only relief is to complete something, however small, and relax for a while. By the way, thanks for following “Oodles”; it is complete for the time being, (though there might be an “Oodletoo”), but you can always dip into the Archives. I’m currently blogging “The Raven”, which is a completely different kettle of fish!
Sure thing, and thank you for likewise visiting and commenting on my blog. I will check out the archives. “The Raven,” is it a tribute to Poe? I’ll check it out also. You are definitely right about completing something small would help to relieve the worry over what all I haven’t finished. Thanks again!
Poe is one of my favourite authors, as I see from your “Gravatar” that he is yours. I wouldn’t dare compare my story to his, but it is about loves lost and coming madness. More a warning not to be attracted by beautifully plumed birds of a pecky and predatory nature. “Nevermore”
Excellent summation!
Sounds like me. Sometimes I get up, give up, and write, knowing I will pay dearly as the days become nights.
Yes every now and then I get up and read, it’s better to use that time wisely than laying there and worrying about it…
Good advice. Reading is relaxing.
