Sulky staring from the corner there
your heart is hard
your thoughts are hateful
Once we had a few
nice days in the sun
but you have long fled me
You there, so princely
yet a slave
to the puppeteer holding purse strings
Rage against me
for my lack of service
my inability to tow the line
My Adonis, strong now
but doomed to repeat
those hateful patterns
Tell me again
how I have failed
not thinking for myself
but I know
that your soul is blank
and that you harbor love only
for yourself
Adonis
