Beautiful rendering of how life changes in adulthood, and that we might still fly, if we just believe we can. 🙂
I thought it was beautiful also, she is such an elegant writer, I truly enjoy her work.
Thanks again for sharing, Lana. Have a most excellent Friday and wonderful weekend. Happy Poeting, my friend. <3
Thank you, Diana. I hope you have a lovely weekend also…..happy poeting 😀
You captured such a physicality in this. The images were wonderfully vivid. My favorite line was “Somewhere on the way, I unlearned how to fly
and trod worn paths through autumn’s lea”. Poignant and a pleasure to read.
It is truly an extraordinary poem, Rosie, but I didn’t write it. I reblogged it for my friend, D. Wallace Peach at Myths of the Mirror on WordPress. I loved that same line also, and it really took me back to being a child and all the possibilities that lay ahead. Ms. Peach is a truly gifted writer. I appreciate you reading and commenting on my blog. Have a lovely weekend!
Oh my mistake 🙂
Oh that’s fine…you had a wonderful comment for a wonderful piece of work…. 😀
