They make pretty
out of words
hang their homage
to writers passed
a persuasive essay
reconciling uncertain truths
bouncing phrases
through made-up reality
surpass futile minds feeding
junk food to empty souls
a message
begging to be heard
crashes loudly into the stratosphere:
write like you
want to be saved
like you
want to save the world
like you could go back
or move forward
like its your last tomorrow
write a testament
against an empty land
richer now
without the menace
