In the picture
they are sharing the world
between the two of them
she is holding it in her
outstretched arms
they stare at the
illuminated center
like it is precious
like it is everything
big glowing planet
for a moment on unspin
they ponder its frailty
and place
in the backdrop
of their existence
holding it there momentarily
before it bounces from them
into the galaxy
lost within a spiraling universe
To hold the world in your hands… it is a brief and fleeting feeling and so well expressed in this verse.
Thanks Marissa 🙂

Oh, this has such a lovely sounding “parable” feeling to the story. Lana, having the world in their hands together is an incredible joint experience to have. . .
It rather reminded me of that….jr. high artists. …I so enjoy their art. Thanks Robin, hope you had a lovely weekend!
This is beautiful and touching…
Thanks so much, Annika.
“like it is precious
like it is everything”
It is, really. Holding and loving the earth, what a great way to start the day! 🙂
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Precious and fragile…handle with care. And love!
It surely is 🙂
